LEAGUE OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS

Take the 195 South (Powhite Parkway) exit. You will go through a 35 cent toll booth. Stay on the Powhite Parkway. Get off on Route 60 West (Midlothian Turnpike) exit. Stay on Route 60 West into Powhatan (approximately 20 minutes past Chesterfield Towne Center). Go through one Flat Rock stop light. Go about 2 miles. Take a right onto Academy road (Exxon station). School about 2 miles down on left.
COLLEGIATE SCHOOL (more directions)

Go to the very end of I-295 to I-64 East (Richmond). Go 1.9 miles to Gaskins road south. Exit right onto Gaskins road. Continue south on Gaskins to the seventh stoplight (Derbyshire road). Turn left on Derbyshire road. Go 0.7 mile. Take a right onto Mooreland road. Collegiate is approximately 0.5 mile on left.

Take Route 360 to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 toward Charlottesville. Take I-64 west to the Route 250/Shadwell exit. Turn right onto Route 250 going west toward Charlottesville. Proceed as follows according to where you are going:
Davis Field (Soccer and Field Hockey&emdash;not located at the school): Go through two stoplights and continue for about 1/2 mile. Take the Park Street exit, turning right. Turn right again at the second street (Davis Avenue). Davis Field is 30 yards ahead on the left. There are no restrooms at the field. At the first exit, (the Route 250/Shadwell exit), there is a convenience store on the right after the first stoplight.
Covenant School Gym (Volleyball): Go through three stoplights. Turn left at the second street onto Birdwood Road (before the bridge). The Covenant School gym is located on the west end of the building.
MACAA Gymnasium (Basketball): Follow I-64 West and get off at the first Charlottesville exit (Rt. 250). When you get to the first stop sign, turn right onto Rt. 250. Follow Rt. 250 through two traffic lights. Go through the second light and turn right on the Park Street exit. Go one block on Park Street and turn left. The gym is straight ahead.

Get off at Exit 118-B onto the Route 250/29 Bypass heading north. At the second exit, get off and turn onto Ivy Road according to where you are going:
Lower School (Tennis, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Baseball, Basketball): Turn left onto Ivy Road and then take the first right onto Faulconer Drive. Follow Faulconer Drive to St. Anne's Lower School.

Take Route 360 west to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 toward Charlottesville to I-95 south toward Richmond. Take the Powhite Parkway, Grove avenue exit and bear right to the stop sign. Turn right and go to the traffic light. Turn left onto Grove avenue. Go through 5 stoplights. The fifth light is the intersection of Grove and Libbie. Take the next left onto Maple. Go past the tennis courts which will be on your right. The last building on the right is the gym.

Take Route 360 west to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 toward Norfolk. Take the Route 460 west exit. Go to the traffic light. Take a left at light (Wagner road). Go over the I-95 overpass. Take first left. Take first right onto St. Vincent dePaul's campus. Proceed as follows to:
St. Vincent dePaul School: From Wagner Road immediately take the first left turn onto Poplar Drive. St. Vincent dePaul School is on the right.

Take Route 360 west to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 toward Charlottesville. Go to the end of I-295 to I-64 east (Richmond). Go 1.9 miles to Gaskins road south. Exit right onto Gaskins road. Continue south on Gaskins for 2 miles. At the fourth traffic light, turn right onto Quioccasin road. Quioccasin becomes Gayton road at the first traffic light. Continue straight for 1.9 miles to Ryandale road. Turn right onto Ryandale Road. Steward School will be on left.

Take Route 360 west to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 toward Charlottesville. Take I-95 south toward Richmond. Exit the Powhite Parkway. Take the Cary street exit and go straight to traffic light. Turn right onto Cary street. Stay on Cary street past the Country Club of Virginia past the River Road Shopping Center across the Huguenot bridge. Stay on Huguenot road for about 2 blocks. Turn right onto Cherokee road. Follow Cherokee for 2.7 miles (speed limit 25; winding road). Take left on Pittaway. Trinity School at end of Pittaway on right.

From I-64: Take Route 360 west to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 North to I-64 West towards Charlottesville and exit at 118A-Lynchburg (Rt. 20 South). Stay on 29 South for approximately one hour and ten minutes. When you pass the town of Amherst and Sweet Briar College, you are about 20 minutes from VES. After going through Madison Heights and its many traffic lights and fast food stores, look for K-Mart on your right. Take exit 29 South-Business (right after K-Mart) until you go over the James River bridge to a traffic light at the top of the hill (Texas Inn on right). Turn right onto Rivermont Avenue. Follow this for about three miles. You will pass Randolph-Macon Women's College and Virginia Baptist Hospital. Turn right onto VES Road at next light, follow to school.

CHRISTCHURCH EPISCOPAL SCHOOL (more directions)

Take Route 17 north to Route 1 in Fredericksburg. Turn right onto Route 1, go approximately 1 mile. Get in left lane. Take I-95 north towards Washington, DC. Take the 17 north exit towards Warrenton. Follow signs for 17 norht. Go through Warrenton continuing on 17 north. Go about 5-8 miles until you see Great Meadows on your right and take a right onto 245 towards the Plains. Once in the Plains, take a right at the T and an immediate left onto 626 towards Middleburg. Once in Middleburg take a right at the T onto 50 east. At the light take a left onto 626 (Foxcroft Road). Go exactly 4 miles and the entrance to the campus will be on your right with the school sign on your left (if you drive by the Pink House, you have gone too far).

Take Route 17 North to Route 1 in Fredericksburg. At the traffic light, turn right onto Route 1. Go under the I-95 overpass and turn right onto Mine road at the second traffic light (Taco Bell and McDonald's). Take left at the first traffic light onto Falcon drive. Fredericksburg Academy will be on the left.

Go accross the Robert Downing, Jr. bridge toward Warsaw. Continue ahead through Warsaw. After passing the 7-11 gas station, turn right onto Route 3. Go approximately 25 miles to Lancaster Courthouse. Lancaster High School will be on the left.
THE MADEIRA SCHOOL (more directions)

Just north of the Springfield exit take I-495 (Capital Beltway) west to Exit 13 (Georgetown Pike, Great Falls and Langley). Turn west onto Georgetown Pike (193) toward Great Falls. Proceed 2 1/2 miles to a white board fence on the right. As you go up a hill, you will notice a small sign on the right marked "Greenway". Turn right at the sign (there is a small sign for the school, also) to The Madeira School.

Continue on toward Norfolk, getting off at Exit 282 (Northampton Boulevard). Stay in the right lane on Northampton Boulevard, go under I-64, and take a right at the first light (Wesleyan Drive). Norfolk Academy is on the right.
Sandy Run Regional Park Occoquan, VA
Sandy Run Regional Park: Crew regattas often are held at Sandy Run Regional Park at the Occoquan Reservoir located south of Washington DC. Take Route 17 North toward Fredericksburg. Continue on Route 17 into Massaponax. Follow signs to I-95 north. Take I-95 norht to exit 160B (Route 123). Merge onto Route 123. Go left on Hampton. Take left onto Van Thompson into park.
From North: I-95 south, take Lorton exit. Take a right onto Lorton road. Bear right onto Furnace road. Turn right onto Route 123. Then go left onto Hampton. Turn left on Van Thompson into park.

Take Route 360 west into Richmond. Take I-64 west to downtown Richmond. Just before downtown, take I-95 south toward Petersburg. Exit I-95, take Chippenham Parkway. Take the second Belmont road exit (Belmont south). Go 1.5 miles just past Food Lion. Look for Richmond Christian School on left. Turn in driveway, gym has columns and is located across from the chapel.

Take 360 west to Mechanicsville. Take I-295 towards Charlottesville. Take the I-95 south exit. Take the 195 south (Powhite Parkway) exit. Exit Cary street/Grove avenue. Bear right following sing "To Grove Ave." Right at stop sign. Right at light onto Grove avenue. At the first light, take a left onto Thompson street.
Humphrey-Calder Field: Continue on Thompson Street for 1 to 2 blocks. Humphrey-Calder Field is on the left next to a fire station.
Saint Gertrude High School: Turn right from Thompson Street onto Stuart Avenue (across from Humphrey-Calder Field). Continue on Stuart Avenue for about 3 blocks. Saint Gertrude High School is on the right.

William and Mary Invitational - Cross Country: This meet is held on the W&M cross country course which is located on the grounds of Eastern State Hospital. Take I-64 east to Exit 238, the Colonial Williamsburg/Camp Peary Exit. When you get off I-64, you are on Route 143. Follow 143 to the second traffic light (Route 132 South) and turn right. Follow 132 South to the first traffic light and turn right onto Route 60 West. As you approach the bridge, get into the left lane. When you go over the bridge on Route 60, you will come to a traffic light. The next traffic light about a quarter mile ahead is Ironbound Road, where you turn left and continue to the race site.
